Real Madrid claimed their first La Liga win of the season with a hard-fought 3-0 victory over Real Valladolid at the Santiago Bernabeu. Despite being held for much of the game, the reigning champions found their rhythm in the second half, starting with Federico Valverde’s deflected goal that broke the deadlock.

Substitute Brahim Diaz extended the lead just minutes from full time, taking a long pass from Eder Militao before calmly chipping the ball over Valladolid goalkeeper Karl Hein. Endrick, making his debut for the club at 18 years old, sealed the victory in stoppage time with a powerful finish inside the near post.

The opening 45 minutes proved challenging for Carlo Ancelotti’s side, as Valladolid employed a deep defensive strategy that frustrated Madrid’s attacking trio of Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Jr., and Rodrygo. Limited space and tight marking meant the home side struggled to create clear-cut chances, with Mbappe unable to make a significant impact on his home debut.

Real Valladolid’s defensive discipline kept Madrid at bay, as they effectively neutralized the hosts’ attempts to break through. Madrid entered halftime with the scoreline goalless and in need of a breakthrough.

Madrid’s fortunes changed in the 50th minute when Valverde’s low strike, aided by a significant deflection off Stanko Juric, found the back of the net to put the home side ahead. The goal opened up the game, as Valladolid began to push forward in search of an equalizer, leaving more room for Madrid’s attackers to exploit.

Though Mbappe made several dangerous runs, he couldn’t cap his home debut with a goal. However, the late goals from Diaz and Endrick gave Madrid a comfortable margin and a confidence boost after their 1-1 draw against Mallorca in the previous fixture.

Real Madrid will look to build on this result when they face Las Palmas on Thursday.
