Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has clarified that he did not engage in discussions with any other clubs regarding a potential departure from the Etihad Stadium this summer.

De Bruyne, who has been a pivotal figure for City since joining from Wolfsburg in 2015, emphasized that his summer was indeed as uneventful as he had expected.

With just one year remaining on his current contract, the 33-year-old midfielder is anticipating discussions with Manchester City regarding his future.

City manager Pep Guardiola had consistently maintained that De Bruyne would remain a key part of his squad, and the Belgian playmaker’s comments seem to reinforce that stance.

De Bruyne has been integral to City’s perfect start to the season, featuring in all three of their Premier League matches so far.

Selected for Belgium’s Nations League matches against Israel and France this month, De Bruyne’s impressive list of honors during his time at City includes six Premier League titles, two FA Cups, five EFL Cups, and one Champions League trophy.
