Bayern Munich Football Club of Germany Bundesliga has successfully secured the transfer of the Israeli soccer talent Daniel Peretz from Maccabi Tel Aviv.

Coach Thomas Tuchel said that Peretz got on the club’s radar after stringing up a series of heroic performances in the 2023 UEFA Under-21 Championships with the Israeli U21 national team.

Daniel Peretz is an Israeli professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for the Israel national team. Peretz joined the Maccabi Tel Aviv youth academy at the age of six. He spent his senior debut season on loan at Beitar Tel Aviv Bat Yam in the 2019–20 Liga Leumit, where he made 32 appearances and scored two goals 1. On 22 August 2020, Peretz made his debut with Maccabi Tel Aviv in the 2020–21 Toto Cup Al (for the Israeli Premier League) final 2–0 win against Bnei Sakhnin. He has been Maccabi Tel Aviv’s first goalkeeper choice during his European campaign debut in the 2021–22 UEFA Europa Conference League, helping his team to get from its initial second qualifying stage to the third qualifying stage, then to its play-off round, and then to the final tournament’s group stage where Maccabi Tel Aviv eventually qualified from the second place of it to the knockout round play-offs against Dutch side PSV Eindhoven that ended for his team in a 1–0 away loss and a 1–1 home draw.
