The Welsh Cup is the knockout Challenge Cup of  governed by the Football Association of Wales (FAW). The Welsh Cup was founded in 1877 and is the 3rd oldest association football competition in the world. Welsh clubs playing in the English football league are excluded since 1995. Some English clubs bordering Wales can enter the competition.
