The powerful striker scored all 68 of his Premier League goals for Everton, making him one of the club’s most recognisable Premier League-era forwards.

Ferguson played in the Premier League between 1994 and 2006 and combined his physical presence with an impressive goalscoring record. His 68 goals put him inside the top 80 scorers in Premier League history overall. The Premier League also records Ferguson as joint-holder of the competition’s record for most red cards, with eight.

Kevin Gallacher and Steven Fletcher

Kevin Gallacher ranks second among Scottish Premier League goalscorers with 56 goals.

Gallacher scored for Coventry City, Blackburn Rovers, Newcastle United and Preston North End during his Premier League career and was part of Blackburn’s title-winning squad in 1994-95.

Steven Fletcher is third with 53 goals. The Scottish striker scored Premier League goals for Burnley, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Sunderland and Stoke City.

John McGinn has moved into the top 15 Scottish Premier League goalscorers with 22 goals.

The Aston Villa captain scored five Premier League goals during the 2025-26 season, taking his career total to 22. His previous Premier League goals came across six earlier seasons with Aston Villa.

McGinn’s 22 goals now put him level with Matt Elliott and ahead of James McFadden in the updated Scottish rankings.

Darren Fletcher and James McArthur

Darren Fletcher and James McArthur have both scored 23 Premier League goals.

Fletcher scored the majority of his goals during his long Manchester United career before later spells with West Bromwich Albion and Stoke City.

McArthur was an important midfielder for Wigan Athletic and Crystal Palace, making more than 300 Premier League appearances during his career.

Scott McTominay Among Scotland’s Modern Goalscorers

Scott McTominay has scored 19 Premier League goals for Manchester United.

The midfielder became an important part of United’s first team after progressing through the club’s academy. His most productive Premier League campaign came in 2023-24, when he scored 14 goals.

McTominay subsequently moved to Napoli, meaning his Premier League total remains at 19. His MFF player record confirms 14 goals in 2023-24 followed by no Premier League goals in his final four appearances for Manchester United in 2024-25.

Steven Naismith, Ryan Fraser and Brian McClair

Steven Naismith also scored 19 Premier League goals, primarily during his time with Everton and Norwich City.

Ryan Fraser and Manchester United legend Brian McClair are next with 18 goals each.

Fraser scored the majority of his Premier League goals for Bournemouth, where he became one of the club’s most effective attacking players. MFF records show he finished his Bournemouth career with 16 Premier League goals.

Stuart Armstrong and Graeme Sharp

Stuart Armstrong and Everton legend Graeme Sharp have both scored 16 Premier League goals.

Armstrong scored all 16 of his Premier League goals for Southampton between 2018 and 2023. His Premier League record covers 149 appearances.

Sharp, meanwhile, was one of Everton’s most important forwards during the early Premier League era and remains among Scotland’s leading scorers in the competition.

Shaun Maloney has 15 Premier League goals, while Craig Burley scored 14.
