We’ve now reached the Quarter Season stage of the Premier League 2024-25 Competition, so it’s time to see how the Top 10
Clubs are performing when compared with 2023-24.
Manchester City
2024-25 1st (23 Points), 2023-24 1st (91 Points)
City remain the team to beat and look favourites to retain their Premier League Title.
They are the only unbeaten Club after nine matches and are on target to finish on 97 Points for the full season.
Norwegian striker Erling Haaland has already scored 11 goals in 9 matches and heads the 2024-25 Combined Goals & Assists Table.
Liverpool
2024-25 2nd (22 Points), 2023-24 3rd (82 Points)
Dutch Manager Arne Slot has seamlessly taken-over from German Jurgen Klopp this season and their has been an improvement in
Liverpool’s Premier League form, especially in defence where they have conceded the fewest Goals (5) and kept the most Clean Sheets.
Egyptian Mohamed Salah has already amassed 11 Combined Goals & Assists and is their most potent attacking player.
If anyone can stop Manchester City from winning the Premier League this Season you have to fancy it will be Liverpool.
Arsenal
2024-25 3rd (18 Points), 2023-24 2nd (89 Points)
Arsenal are 5 Points behind Manchester City at the Quarter Season stage and you feel that they will slip further behind as the Season progresses.
English winger Bukayo Saka has been their best attacking player with 10 Goals & Assists but German Striker Kai Havertz only has half that number.
Spanish Goalkeeper David Raya has kept three Clean Sheets but 10 Goals conceded so far highlights the weakness in the Gunners’ defence.
Aston Villa
2024-25 4th (18 Points), 2023-24 4th (68 Points)
Aston Villa are level with where they were last Season and it’s hard to see them progressing any further in overtaking the current Top Three Clubs.
England Striker Ollie Watkins is once again their most dangerous attacking option with 7 Goals & Assists but Argentine Goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez
has only kept one Clean Sheet so far this Season. Villa find themselves Top of the 2024-25 Champions League Table with the maximum 9 Points from
3 Matches.
Chelsea
2024-25 5th (17 Points), 2023-24 6th (63 Points)
Chelsea are much-improved over last Season and are on target to amass 71 Points for the full season. England’s Cole Palmer has more Goals and
Assists than any other Premier League player (12) with Senegal’s Nicolas Jackson not far behind with 9.
Italian manager Enzo Maresca has hit the ground running and brought back some style and swagger to Chelsea’s play.
Brighton & Hove Albion
2024-25 6th (16 Points), 2023-24 10th (48 Points)
Brighton are punching very much above their weight this Season and are well ahead of their 2023-24 performance. Veteran England Striker Danny Welbeck
leads their front line with 7 Goals & Assists and seems to have had a new lease of life. Brighton have kept three Clean Sheets this Season shared between
their two Goalkeepers Jason Steele and Bart Verbruggen (2). The lack of European Football will certainly help their cause this Season.
Nottingham Forest
2024-25 7th (16 Points), 2023-24 17th (32 Points)
A massive improvement from Nottingham Forest has seen them shoot up the Premier League Table to challenge for a European place next Season.
Portuguese Manager Nuno Espírito Santo has steered the East Midlands Club to their lofty position with New Zealand Striker Chris Wood scoring 7 Goals.
Only Liverpool have conceded fewer Goals than Forest’s 7 this Season.
Tottenham Hotspur
2024-25 8th (13 Points), 2023-24 5th (66 Points)
It’s been a very mixed Season for Australian Ange Postecoglou’s Spurs this Season with far too many points dropped from winning positions in games that
Tottenham have generally dominated. Only Chelsea and Manchester City have scored more Goals thanTottenham’s 18 but the defence has been their
downfall with 10 conceded so far. By contrast, Spurs find themselves in Second Place in the UEFA Europa League Table behind SS Lazio on Goal Difference.
Brentford
2024-25 9th (13 Points), 2023-24 16th (39 Points)
Another huge improvement from the West London outfit this Season with the Bees already winning a third of their 2023-24 Points Total. Cameroon striker
Bryan Mbeumo is their most lethal attacking option with 8 Goals ably supported by DR Congo’s Yoane Wissa with 6 Goals & Assists.
Fulham
2024-25 10th (12 Points), 2023-24 14th (47 Points)
Rounding off the Top Ten Clubs is the fifth London team, Fulham who have also improved on last season. Mexican Striker Raúl Jiménez is having a new lease
of life over in West London with 5 Goals & Assists so far this Season. Portuguese Marco Silva is in his fourth year as Fulham’s manager and has built a solid,
workmanlike squad which may well finish in the Top Half of the Table.
