Aston Villa beat Fenerbahce 6-0 at Villa Park on Wednesday night in the Champions League, with Nicolas Jackson and Ross Barkley scoring two goals each, Sky Sports reports.
BBC Sport reports that it is Villa's biggest ever win in a European competition. A second BBC Sport piece says Jackson continues his fine goalscoring form.
Manzambi opens the scoring
According to The Guardian, it was also Villa's first home win of the season. The paper reports that Johan Manzambi celebrated his 21st birthday by scoring the opening goal on his first Champions League appearance. Jackson then added two more before half-time, the Guardian says.
The Guardian adds that Mason Greenwood, playing his first game in England since January 2022, was booed on every touch. It also says the crowd showed no sign of concern about playing in front of the demolished North Stand.
