Although Chelsea is not actively pursuing Vlahovic, their interest lies in the potential consequences of his move to PSG. Should Vlahovic’s departure be confirmed, it would enable Juventus to submit a €40 million proposal to sign Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea, becoming his only concrete option for the upcoming season.
Lukaku’s future has been the subject of intense speculation, and Juventus stands as the prime contender for his services. Despite receiving bids from his former club Inter, Lukaku’s talks with Juventus have caused Inter to withdraw their pursuit of the Belgian striker, leaving Juventus as the sole contender for his signature.
Given Lukaku’s lack of interest in a move to Saudi Arabia, Chelsea would likely prefer PSG to secure Vlahovic’s transfer, as it would allow Juventus to pursue Lukaku, fulfilling the striker’s anticipated move away from Stamford Bridge.
