Wales have been paired with Bosnia-Herzegovina on home soil, while Northern Ireland will visit Italy in their World Cup play-off semi-final.
Victors from these contests will advance to the decisive round, where the winner of the Welsh tie is guaranteed a home final.
The Republic of Ireland will travel to the Czech Republic and could earn a home decider against either Denmark or North Macedonia.
Path structure and match schedule
All semi-finals are scheduled for 26 March, with the finals following on 31 March.
Every encounter will be decided in a single game, without a return leg.
Sixteen nations remain in contention for four tickets to the tournament staged in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
How teams were allocated
During the event in Switzerland, top-seeded sides in pot one were matched at home against opponents from pot four.
Teams in pot two were drawn to host those placed in pot three.
Each path also set out who could potentially stage the final round match.
Qualification routes
Twelve nations entered the play-offs by securing second place in their respective World Cup qualifying groups.
Four additional sides, including Northern Ireland, earned their place by topping their Nations League sections last year.
The main competition draw — featuring England and Scotland — is scheduled for 5 December in Washington DC.
