Barcelona have been reported to FIFA by fourth-division side, Union Adarve, over Alonso’s move from Chelsea.

Marcos Alonso’s youth team want to receive a sum of £91,000 from the Chelsea deal. Barcelona are involved in yet another transfer saga, this time it’s with the fourth-division side, Union Adarve. The Catalans have been reported to Fifa for fraudulent dealings in the signing of Marcos Alonso.

The smaller club, which Alonso played his youth football in, claim Barcelona have failed to pay a sum of £91,000 as their part of the transfer deal with Chelsea.

No end in sight to numerous financial issues

Barcelona’s financial troubles is not a new topic, so this accusation doesn’t come as a surprise to many. However, it seems Barcelona is not troubled by the club’s accusation over Alonso’s signing which was completed last year.

Marcos Alonso has already become an important player in the Barcelona side, with a total of 21 appearances, and two goals to go with it.

Barcelona has been facing troubles with signing players, registering players, and negotiating players’ salary, which has been quite embarrassing for a club of its stature in the football world.

Despite their many financial issues, the club is still unable to restructure its wage bill, and currently have issues with LaLiga for its wage bill that is above the league’s maximum limit.

Performances this season have added to the club’s shaky financial state. Crashing out of the UEFA Champions League in the group stage is going to cost the club £18million, and only a Europa league win will save a chunk of money out of that loss.

Xavi will be in a tight spot as regards securing top summer transfers to the club because the Catalans can no longer compete in the transfer market with other top clubs in Europe for expensive signings.

Barcelona’s financial state has reduced the club to depending heavily on free transfers when the summer transfer window opens, except a huge injection of funds can come in from a new source.
