According the BBC, Brazilian football sensation Neymar has finalized a momentous transfer from Paris Saint-Germain to the Saudi Arabian outfit Al Hilal, in a deal reportedly worth 90 million euros ($98 million) . The 31-year-old forward has officially inked a contract with Al Hilal, marking the culmination of a prosperous six-season tenure with PSG [1].

Neymar’s transition to Al Hilal further underscores the trend of star soccer players embracing the lucrative opportunities presented by the Saudi Pro League . The illustrious player now joins forces with fellow countryman Malcom at the well-funded club [2]. Notably, the Riyadh-based team has already secured the talents of Rúben Neves from Wolves, as well as Chelsea’s defensive stalwart Kalidou Koulibaly, Lazio’s midfield maestro Sergei Milinkovic-Savic, and an array of other notable names .

Injecting a touch of humor into the scenario, Steven Gerrard, the coach of Al-Ettifaq, playfully expressed his reluctance to have Neymar join the ranks of the Saudi Pro League .

This transfer holds immense significance for both Neymar and Al Hilal. Observers eagerly await Neymar’s performance in his new team, while the forthcoming season will also shed light on Al Hilal’s fortunes .
