Real Madrid plot transfer move for Chelsea’s Kai Havertz

Real Madrid are keeping a close eye on Kai Havertz and may make a move to sign the Chelsea attacker if he shines in Qatar. The former Bayer Leverkusen striker has found the going tough at Stamford Bridge.

Real Madrid are well-known for managing their finances. Amid the Covid-19 outbreak that ravaged the world and left plenty of clubs battered financially, Los Blancos have done well for themselves and came out of it looking like a million stars.

With the World Cup underway in Qatar, Los Blancos have their eyes on several players and may want to bring them to the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu in January.

The interest of Real Madrid in England international Jude Bellingham is well known, but the Spanish side seems to also have their eyes on another talent from the Premier League. A few media reports suggest that Los Blancos is keen on snaring Chelsea forward Kai Haivertz in the winter.

Keeping tabs on Kai Havertz

The World Cup has always been a hunting ground for several top clubs, and Real Madrid is no exception. Two players are on their radar, and the Mondial is an opportunity for the Spanish giants to see them up close. Bellingham is already showing his worth for England, while Kai Havertz is yet to play.

The German striker scored the match-winning goal against Manchester City in the final. Since that game, things have continued to spiral for the German.

Kai Havertz: A future away from Chelsea

The report claims that the Covid-19 outbreak affected the finances of the Spanish giants and stalled any deal for the German. With the club in better financial health, they might consider another approach if he shines in Qatar.

Kai Havertz has scored 27 goals for Chelsea in all competitions since 2020. Chelsea has struggled for goals this term. With his current form, several reports suggest that the German could leave Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.

Manchester City seem to be in the fray for the German, but the interest of Real Madrid could scupper any deal. The evidence shows that Havertz is not a prolific scorer, but Real Madrid could get the best out of him. The former Bayer Leverkusen forward is more comfortable playing as a false nine or an attacking midfielder.
