Borussia Dortmund want to have a showdown talk with Jude Bellingham and his family after the World Cup to deliberate on his future. Real Madrid, Liverpool and Manchester City are all interested in signing the teenager.

One of the most sought-after players in the world is Jude Bellingham. The English teenager has made a name for himself and attracted praise from all and sundry. The Borussia Dortmund midfielder is heading to the World Cup amid plenty of speculations about his future. With several clubs angling for his signature, no one is sure where he will end up. One thing is certain, and it is that Bellingham will not stay at Borussia Dortmund for long.

Dortmund is famed for giving youngsters the stage to excel, and a long line of great players have walked through the Signal Iduna. They include Robert Lewandowski, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Stephane Chapuisat, Mario Gotze, Lars Ricken and Erling Haaland.

Jude Bellingham has joined this illustrious list and is close to leaving the club for a bigger stage. The interest in the Englishman is growing every day, and Dortmund is keen to sort out his future. The World Cup is the next attraction, and the BVB wants to wait till it’s over to address the matter.

Dortmund to address Bellingham’s future
Borussia Dortmund under pressure lost Erling Haaland this summer. The club has shown a keen eye for spotting talent and has lost several players in the past. With the eyes of several top clubs on Jude Bellingham, it seems just a matter of time before the Englishman leaves the Bundesliga side.

The CEO of Borussia Dortmund, Hans-Joachim Watzke, has confirmed that the club will hold showdown talks with Bellingham over his future. The discussions should take place after the World Cup. Hans-Joachim Watzke talked about the current status of the player regarding contract discussions. He told Bild when the Qatar World Cup is over, Dortmund would have a general discussion about what he wants.

Watzke said the club would talk with Bellingham and his parents, with whom they have a close relationship. Watzke said his advisor would also be part of the discussions. Dortmund wants to know whether he wants to stay or leave. Whatever Bellingham chooses, there will be a pleasant and reasonable discussion with each other.

Clubs interested in Bellingham
The last year has seen Jude Bellingham’s stock rise, with several clubs showing massive interest in the teenager. With links to a move away from Dortmund, the Bundesliga side may have resigned to losing the player. The conversation over the player’s future has become a dominant feature in recent weeks.

Among the clubs interested in his services are Liverpool and Manchester City. The Reds are massive admirers of Bellingham. The Anfield side will have to overcome competition from Man City and Real Madrid. Los Blancos is ahead of the Premier League sides. There are rumours of an impending transfer either in January or during the summer transfer window.

Dortmund will be desperate to keep hold of Bellingham, but their chances are limited, with their recent history replete with young talent leaving the club. Christian Pulisic, Erling Haaland, Jadon Sancho and Ousmane Dembele are all players that left the club recently.

Watzke said if the big clubs are involved, it would be tough to keep the player, as they cannot fight them financially.
