PSG have agreed a €20m deal to sign Carlos Soler. The Spanish midfielder will join the club on a five-year deal.

Tick-tock says the clock and teams are trying to round up their summer business. Time is running out as clubs are at the point where whatever they have to do, needs to be done quickly.

It has been a busy summer for Paris Saint-Germain. There have been going-outs and coming-ins at the Paris club. The French giants want to rejuvenate the club and put them on a pedestal where they can challenge for trophies in Europe.

With the sacking of Mauricio Pochettino and the hiring of Christophe Galtier, PSG have been working hard to bring in quality players. A few players have already been signed, with the latest being Valencia midfielder Carlos Soler. Latest reports suggest PSG have agreed to a deal that sees the Spanish midfielder join the Paris club this summer.

Soler to PSG a done deal

Paris Saint-Germain have completed another coup by signing a Spanish talent. The Paris club want to freshen their midfield and have made efforts to bolster the quality of the squad. The news has been agog of PSG homing in on a few midfield targets, with a deal close to completion.

Negotiations with Valencia over the signing of midfielder Carlos Soler are almost complete. The Spanish club have agreed with PSG to sell the midfielder for around €20m (£17.2m/$20m). Soler will sign a deal with PSG that runs till 2027.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the deal is complete. The player and the club are in agreement over the move. PSG accelerated negotiations for the former Valencia youth player. The transfer window will shut in a couple of days, and the Paris giants want to complete all arrangements on time.

Advisor to the sporting management, Luis Ocampos worked on the Soler deal and ensured the Spanish player arrived in the French capital. Soler will sign for the next five seasons.

Valencia stood a chance of making a solid financial profit on the player but opted to sell the midfielder immediately as he could leave for free from next January. Soler’s contract was due to expire in 2023. Valencia are financially hamstrung and in dire need of cash. It is why they agreed to a cut-down price for the midfielder.

PSG have eyes on other targets

With Soler’s signing almost in the bag, the former Valencia youth player is about to share the same dressing room with superstars like Neymar, Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe. He swaps his humble abode for an esteemed company.

PSG are still looking to conclude its summer activities quickly. There are still other targets on the horizon. According to GOAl, the reigning French champions are close to signing Napoli midfielder Fabian Ruiz. GOAL understands the midfielder will undergo a medical on Tuesday.

PSG are also in the market for a centre-back. They hope to conclude the signing on time before the transfer deadline.
